We’ll walk through the process, prepare and wax your chain, and set you up with the products needed to maintain it at home.
Includes wax kit, drip wax and a fully prepared chain to get you started properly.

Important Notes
Chain condition matters
Waxing works best when starting with a new chain or one with minimal wear.
Chains, cassettes and chainrings wear together over time. Installing a new chain on a heavily worn cassette can cause skipping under load.
We will always check chain wear before waxing and advise if replacement would give the best result.
Maximum wear for starting a wax system
As a general rule, chains showing more than around 0.5% wear are not ideal candidates for starting a wax system.
Indexing and setup
After installing or swapping chains, minor indexing adjustment may be required to ensure smooth shifting.
Maintaining the System
A waxed chain typically needs attention every 300–500 km depending on conditions.
Maintenance options include re-waxing, rotating a second chain, or using drip wax between rewax cycles.
